Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited is one of the oldest commercial banks in Ghana. The bank began operations in 1896 under the name Bank of British West Africa. In 1970 it was incorporated as Standard Chartered Bank. Standard Chartered was formally listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange in 1990. It is a subsidiary of the British multinational banking company Standard Chartered PLC. The bank offers a wide range of retail and corporate banking services through its network of 27 branches and 56 ATMs across Ghana.
The product portfolio includes online banking, mobile banking, lending and insurance for private clients as well as trade finance, cash management, cross-border payments, treasury services, transaction banking and custodial services for corporate and institutional clients.
